About:

The 5th annual Liberty Bell Classic tournament is a fun and friendly co-ed soccer extravaganza. Adult players of all skill levels, genders, and sexual orientations are welcome! Participants will be selected (based on skill level) into squads of 6 to 7 players. Each squad will be paired with different squads throughout the tournament to form a complete team of 12 to 14 players. LBC’s check list: plenty of water, cleats, shin guards, sunscreen and a positive attitude.

Format:

• Tournament occurs on Saturday and Sunday
• 2 full fields
• Coed 11v11
• Squads of 6 or 7 – squads will be paired with different squads each game to form teams of 12-14

Games:

• Games will be played rain or shine at Pennypack Park – 15 min from center city Philadelphia
• Sat and Sun – 10 am to 4pm
• Certified officials

Events:

• Fri 25th – Registration Party at Stir – 7pm to 9pm
• Sat 26th – Dinner at Smokin Betty’s free for players and $25 for guests. More festivities TBD!
• Sun 27th – Award ceremony at the fields – 3pm to 4pm

Included in the registration fee:

• Tournament T-shirt
• Sat 26th food and festivities TBD
• Players attending the registration party will automatically be eligible for prizes only raffled at Stir
• Lots of soccer

Accommodations:

• We have 10-15 rooms on hold at the Holiday Inn Express in the gayborhood for Friday and Saturday nights
• They are on hold until May 11th so reserve today!

• The next domestic match for the U.S. Women’s National Team has been confirmed and the USA will take on China on May 27 at 7 p.m. at PPL Park!
