Spring League Rules

  1. Each game will consist of two 20-22 minute halves.
  2. 6v6, no goalies. Will follow goal box rule:
    • A goal box will be marked on the field around the goal. Any player may pass through the box at any time but nobody can make contact with the ball inside the area.
    • If a defender touches the ball in inside the goal box, a penalty kick is awarded to the other team.
    • If an offensive team player touches the ball inside the goal box, a goal kick is award
  3. The games are touchline, and will operate with typical touchline rules. (Throw Ins, Goal kicks, and Corner Kicks)
  4. Goal kicks will be taken from anywhere on the defensive endline.
  5. There is no offside rule.
  6. There are no scoring limits, however when goal differentials are tallied we will only recognize a 5 goal difference.
  7. No slide tackling.
  8. If a player receives a yellow card, he/she will be required to take 5 minutes off the field, and cannot be replaced during this time. Meaning the team will play a man down.
  9. If a player receives a red card, he/she will no longer be able to play the rest of the current game or any of the next game. The team cannot replace this player for the remainder of the first game, but can play with equal numbers in the following game.
  10. Substitutions will happen on the fly
  11. All free kicks are indirect.
  12. Be respectful to everyone including teammates, referees, and organizers. Referees and organizers have the right to eject a player from the game for instances of misconduct, rough play, or violence.
  13. The rest of the rules align with the normal rules of the game.

Points Table:

  1. Teams will receive 3 points for a win, 1 for a tie, and 0 for a loss.
  2. All teams will make the playoffs, and their standings at the end of the regular season will determine who they play in the playoffs.
